About RAD 2026
RAD 2026 (Rebuild America's Democracy) is a nonpartisan grassroots movement dedicated to ending political corruption and restoring power to the people.
Our Mission
We believe that American democracy is at a critical crossroads. Regardless of political party, Americans deserve a government that represents them fairly, honestly, and effectively. RAD 2026 exists to mobilize voters and support candidates who are committed to essential democratic reforms.
Why These Five Reforms?
Our five core reforms were chosen because they address the root causes of dysfunction in American democracy:
- Overturn Citizens United: Money in politics drowns out the voices of ordinary Americans. We need publicly funded elections and strict campaign finance limits.
- Ranked-choice voting: Our current winner-take-all system forces voters into false choices. Ranked-choice voting ensures majority support and reduces negative campaigning.
- Protect voting rights: Every eligible citizen should have easy access to vote. We oppose voter suppression in all its forms.
- Term limits and ethics reforms: Career politicians often become disconnected from the people they serve. Term limits and strong ethics rules restore accountability.
- End gerrymandering: Politicians shouldn't choose their voters. Independent redistricting ensures fair representation.
Our Approach
RAD 2026 is strictly nonpartisan. We don't endorse Democrats or Republicans—we endorse reform. We believe good people exist in all parties, and we're building a coalition that transcends traditional political divisions.
Our strategy is simple:
- Build voter power: Every verified voter pledge strengthens our movement and shows candidates that reform matters.
- Support reform candidates: We connect voters with candidates who share our commitment to democratic reform.
- Create accountability: By publicly listing pledged candidates, we make commitments visible and enforceable.
Who We Are
RAD 2026 was founded by concerned citizens who believe American democracy can and must be saved. We're activists, organizers, voters, and candidates who refuse to accept a broken system.
We're funded entirely by small donations from people like you. We don't accept corporate money, and we don't coordinate with any political campaigns.
